I began my teaching career as a second grade teacher on the border of Arizona and Mexico.  I taught elementary students in various grades in Arizona for 5 years before becoming a stay at home mom for 10 years.  My family and I moved to Virginia in 2002 and joined the WFES family in 2005.  I have been working with second language learners for most of my career and love it.  I am grateful to also have the opportunity to work with staff, students, parents and community members as we embark on creating a more environmentally friendly school and community.
