Lori Thomas
ESOL Teacher, ES
My name is Lori Thomas. I grew up on the Jersey Shore. I went to James Madison University where I studied Psychology and Early Childhood Education. Go DUKES! After college, I taught first grade for nine years at Bethesda Elementary School in Montgomery County. I then took 10 years off to raise my three sons. While I was a stay-at-home mom, I tutored neighborhood students and taught children in China how to speak and read English through an on-line platform. This is my fourth year working as an ESOL teacher/reading interventionist here at Wakefield Elementary. My goal as an educator is to make meaningful connections with my students and to help them all develop the love of learning! 😊
