Hello WFES! I’m Laura Risinger and I have been teaching fifth grade at WFES for 19 years. The last four years I have been teaching the Advanced Academics class where I received my endorsement from the University of Virginia.

I have also taught in London, England and Jacksonville, Florida. My daughter is a graduate of FCPS schools. She attended Olde Creek Elementary, Frost Middle School and Woodson High School. She completed her math and master’s degree from Christopher Newport University.

I love teaching and working in this amazing community, however when I am not in the classroom you can find me traveling with my husband, reading and spending time with my dog Moss.
