October 4 - 10 was International Space Week. Students in grades 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6 engaged in several space related projects.

In first grade, the room turned into night as the phases of the moon came alive with a human model. Students then created their own working model of the moon's orbit and added extra water to emulate our earth.

The NASA Dart Mission inspired the the third and fourth grades with a challenge to collide two moving bodies (balloons).

Fifth and sixth grades triangulated distances as a simulation of GPS satellite technology. They continue the Engineering Design Process this month with a spacecraft lander challenge.
