Hi WFES!  This is my 14th year at Wakefield Forest ES and my 24th year working for FCPS.  I have taught 5th and 3rd grades for a total of 6 years and have been a Reading Specialist for 19 years.  I’m also a product of FCPS schools, having graduated from West Springfield High School.  I love working with students to improve their reading skills and working with classes and teachers to sustain their love of literacy.  There is nothing more rewarding than when the lightbulb clicks and that “aha” moment happens!  When I’m not teaching, I enjoy reading for pleasure, cooking, traveling, and spending time with my husband and 2 children.
